The minimum time to check-in for a JetBlue (B6) flight is: 20 minutes before scheduled departure time for US domestic flights (40 minutes from Fort Lauderdale (FLL), New York JFK (JFK), and Tampa (TPA) 60 minutes before scheduled departure time for international flights to/from the US.

Here are some reasons why JetBlue passengers might not be able to check in online: Technical issues: If there are technical problems with the JetBlue website or mobile app, online check-in may not be available. Security reasons: If you are flagged for extra security screening, you may not be able to check in online.

3-1-1 for carry-on bags = 3.4 oz/100 ml bottle or less; one quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; one bag per customer placed in screening bin. One quart-sized bag per person limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring. The 3.4 oz/100 ml container size requirement is a security measure.

Customers can use jetblue.com or obtain a seat at check-in.

You may select seats for Blue Basic booked on or after September 24, 2023 at any time for a fee. If you don't, your seats will be assigned before departure. Travelers that combine a Blue Basic fare with Even More Space (on all legs, if connecting) will get to board early and bring a carry-on bag.

What if I forget to check in online or leave my boarding card at home? If you forget to check in online or forget or lose your boarding pass, you will still be allowed to travel. You will just have to check in as normal or have a new boarding card printed for you at the airport.

Reasons might include: if you have more than one passport, if you're a certain nationality, if your flight was booked at the very last minute, if your flight was booked by someone else, or if you have the same name as a person of interest.

JetBlue boards by groups, which will be noted on your boarding pass above or next to your seat number. Mosaic and Mint® customers, as well as Even More® Space customers (Group A), will still have priority boarding. Customers are encouraged to remain comfortably seated until their group is called for boarding.

We will always do our best to seat children with an adult family member. Here are some suggestions for the best seating options: Book early. Select seat assignments when you book, or when you book with a reservation crewmember (third party service fees may apply).

If the flight is oversold, the airline will ask for volunteers to take another flight first. If no one agrees to do that, those left without a seat assignment could be among the first to be involuntarily bumped, which includes someone with the note “see agent” on their boarding pass.

When you check in for your flight, (whether online or at the airport), you will be assigned a seat by our system at no cost. If you check in online, you will be able to view your assigned seats and upgrade if desired.

If the flight is not too full, you can get a non-middle seat at check-in without paying. Some airlines allow their high-ranking frequent flyers to get some or all economy seats without paying extra. Book a higher class of travel. Anything above economy usually does not charge more for seat selection.

Skipping seat selection doesn't mean you won't get a seat on the flight. You might get stuck in the middle seat if you don't pay for one. Even if seat selection is free, you might want to skip it if only lousy seats are available (see the "upgrade hack” below).

If you don't choose a seat during check-in, a seat will be auto-assigned to you. Boarding pass: Once you have checked in, your boarding pass will be generated. You can view and save it on your device.

The most common reason for this is being selected for additional security screening. The next most common reason (from my experience, at least,) is a problem with the ticket, though it sounds like that's not the case here. There is a randomness factor involved in selection for secondary security screening.

Airport check-in: If you are unable to resolve the issue online, you can always complete the check-in at our airport counter. Arrive early with sufficient time for the procedures.

To speed up the process, you can use curbside check-in or self-service kiosks at most airports. You can use curbside check-in if you have an electronic ticket (can scan it from your phone).
